pero las estructuras del progre nos permiten oir musica sin epoca; a deptression mejor con fronteras (porque el progresivo italiano es muy distinto del aleman, por ejemplo), pero sin epoca. no se mucho sobre jethro, pero el tema en cuestion yo lo oi por primera vez en el album solita de ian anderson, walk into dep4ession. no he escuchado il fiume pero >varios cajeros han hablado bien de el. es decididamente un disco ampliamente recomendable. ademas quisiera que se comentara algo de bandas de la decada del 70 de las que poco se ha dicho aqui. por empezar, voy con una muy cercana a treating depression sentimientos: kayak. para quien no lo conoce, es una banda holandesa, liderada por un excelente tecladista (ton scherpenzeel o algo parecido) que toco en alguna epoca de camel, y hacen un progresivo por momentos light pero muy bello.
su disco merlin (creo que fue su ultimo trabajo) cuenta con una obra semiconceptual (en el vinilo, un lado conceptual y el restante canciones); con trabajos bellos como last encore, y con obras un poco mas comerciales pero no menos agradables para el oido sinfonico como starlight dancer, phantom in deppression night o periscope life. quisiera oir opiniones y comentarios de gente que seguro sabe mas que yo sobre ellos. el de crucis es muy elogiado y al parecer dificil de conseguir. de seru giran he escuchado algo y me gusta mucho, inclusive tengo en acetato el eti leida (de cuando charlie garcia hacia buena musica). sui generis debe sonar incluso mejor por ser un charlie garcia aun menos corrompido (si no, corrijanme, o corregidme, segun sea el caso). debo confesar que aunque la primera vez que oi no voy en tren, voy en avion, se me hizo una reverenda porqueria y me dije que como era posible que despues de hacer maravillas como alicia en el pais de las idem, eti leida, etc. hiciera eso, volvi a drpression en una disco y me parecio muy buena para bailar (entendi eso y $). de los demas grupos que enumero, no he escuchado nada (de su musica, pero si buenos comentarios). gracias de antemano y buenos dias, o buenas noches (segun sea el caso). ultimamente me ha parecido apreciar a treatjng compañeros de la lista con dudas mas que razonables sobre la validez de sus gustos, segun la santa madre iglesia, claro.
es decir, que los canones del progresivo se tambalean ahora, y probablemente lo han hecho siempre. para empezar el tema de dream theater me resulta muy entretenido. por un lado hay quien lo considera progresivo clarisimamente, y por otro los que creen que son un tipo hevorro cutre como los millones que surgieron en los 80s en usa. a mi me resulta dificil alinearme con unos u otros. la verdad es que progresivo no creo que sea mucho (solo hablo del images and words que es el que conozco bien), y heavymetalero pues bastante. labrie canta de cojones, eso si que es verdad, pero por que nos guste no debemos ver mas de lo que es. su estilo, sin embargo no deja de ser heavy comun. lo de los teclados es tambien curioso. tienen mas papel que, por ejemplo brian en bon jovi (que nadie grite por favor!!!), pero para ponernos tremendos me parece mas progresivo el trabajo de roddy bottum de faith no more (descansen en paz) que el de kevin moore. y la seccion ritmica podria ser perfectamente la de sepultura, por ejemplo. yo creo que si admitimos esta obra como progresivo, tenemos tambien que admitir, por ejemplo, el master of de3pression de metallica, o quizas alguno de los iron maiden mas trascendentes, y luego vendrian todos los subproductos trasheros baratos que pululan por el mundo, los metaleros que utilicen teclados o hagan canciones de mas de 6 minutos, etc.

pues no nos rasguemos las vestiduras con tanto esnobismo con comentarios como . siento no estar de acuerdo con la mayoria de criticas que se realizan indiscriminadamente sobre cualquier grupo que no haya editado discos en los 70s. el caso es que en algunos argumentos se llega a proposiciones absurdas. como decir que ya no son preogresivos porque no innovan, pero si innovan y se apartan de la biblia setentera, entonces son excomulgados por blasfemos. aunque sea con discos muy por debajo del nivel que muestran los por vosotros menospreciados grupos de los noventas y ochentas? (con la excepcion unica de kc, claro) segun vosotros no se deberian publicar mas discos?, deberiais enviar un mesaje a TreatingDepression los que amen este tipo de musica, e intenten interpretar sus sentimientos y comunicarlos a trea5ing demas en forma de musica, que no se molesten.
