jihad 101, introductory course |
a jihad is based on the concept that the means justify the end.
a war or battle is based on the principle that the end justifies the means applied to achieve the end.
In war, it does not matter what you do as long as the military target or objective is achieved.
A jihad is based on only the means.
The means have to be righteous to achieve victory. and victory is with God
therefore a Muslim cannot take part in war. a Muslim cannot join any army or take up arms for war or battle when the principles of jihad are not followed. he would be committing murder and agression.
a Muslim has to tread the path of righteousness and defend the people and the society from aggression. it may mean putting his life into danger...but the end is guaranteed so along as one is righteous.
and what is righteousness?
righteousness is belief in God, His angles, his scriptures and His Messengers...righteousness is giving charity and keeping your word....righteousness is persevering in the face of oppression.
righteousness is defending a people's right to worship, congregate and vote for a plebiscite. righteousness is following the LAW...ordainded by God.....righteousness is not murder of civlillians or accepting collateral damage
war on the other hand involves accepting collateral damage and the killing of civilians as long as the end objective is achieved...therefore in war, the end justifies the means employed to achieve it.
in jihad, the means justify the end.
if the means are good, the Allah will bless....
