November 26th 2001 - Peggy from The Tallulah Quintet

We have tried to include a varied spectrum of utterance in the magazine and the Writing Festivals exist to bring this variety to life, liberating the word from the printed page, integrating it with other creative forms such as music and art.

The readings are interspersed with live music from bands and DJs (our last Festival's musical talent came from 'The Tallulah Quintet'!).

Robinson College Bassment - just before the October 2000 Festival

In February 2002, TALLULAH toured to Oxford, where our poets read (and sung!) alongside Oxford writers. Again, the open mike session provided some hilarious performances!

Come along and join the Tallulah Tour - we'll be coming to a city near you soon...

October 2000 Festival - cushla reads her poetry

There have been four Festivals in Cambridge so far, the first in March 2000.

In March 2001, TALLULAH hosted the 'First Lines' national poetry tour, featuring five Eric Gregory Award winners: Clare Pollard, Matthew Hollis, Polly Clarke, Owen Sheers and Anthony Dunn.

With coloured chalk decorating the streets, TALLULAH could not be ignored!

The name 'Tallulah' is taken from Bugsy Malone, for a 1920s theme. Here is the gangsta man from November 2001 Festival,
