Hi again, long time no Blog ! :)

Things have been good recently, but I've fallen in to the same old trap of feeling good and then getting stressed out by taking on too much at work !!

I feel pretty good in general, but the old tightness in the chest has started to creep back in when things get a little bit stressful....

I've also just heard about a relative who has Angina, and hearing lots about the symptoms etc. starts to get those little doubts in the back of my mind chattering away again. Ah the power of the mind !!!

However, on the positive side of things, I have read an excellent book recently called "Change Your Life in Seven Days" by a guy called Paul McKenna. I have to say that it really is excellent. I read the book (one chapter per day) and found that it really did make a massive difference to my thought patterns. It made me feel very positive and like I had an enormous capacity to achieve things that I want in life. It made a big difference to my work, but I may have over-stretched myself a little, hence my current little (temporary) set-back. The book contains some superb relaxation and visualisation techniques that anyone suffering with anxiety would benefit from. I think that the book is based on a number of NLP techniques. Get yourself a copy if you can - it also comes with a really nice CD that you listen to to re-inforce many of the concepts and techniques in the book.

I would really like to completely re-design my web site - I just need to find some time in my hectic schedule. I think that I will retain the current content, but change the emphasis of the site from being purely my view of suffering with anxiety to being a site that can positively aid a sufferers recovery. I feel that I have had enough experience of my anxiety to suggest quite a number of techniques to reduce and even beat anxiety. I have found that as well as the usual technqiues suggested by psychotherapists, in my case, the positive influence of other factors such as exercise and diet have been incredibly useful. I will start to prepare the new site content next week - there, I have committed to do it, so I better make it happen now !

Until next time, take care.
