RIVALDO Victor Borba Ferreira

Birthplace: 19 April 1972/Paulista (Pernambuco)
Height:
187cm
Weight:
75kg
Club: AC Milan
Position: Midfielder
Debut:
Mexico (16 December 1993)

Rivaldo achieved his dream in South Korea/Japan 2002 with a super tournament. Scored five goals along the way, the highest of any midfielder, in the tournament. In 1999, he was named FIFA World Player of the Year. This tremendously gifted player has a bagful of tricks and for an attacking midfielder scores plenty of goals too. He has been truly a world great, namely for Barcelona, saving many horrendous seasons for them almost single handedly. One particular performance will stick in my mind for a long time is his best of hattricks against rivals Valencia in June 2001. His first a free kick from 30 yards followed by a solo effort, making an idiot out of the Valencia defender, finished off by an out of this world bicycle kick.
