Vampeta is the perfect modern day midfielder. He is the Brazilian version of Juan Sebastian Veron. Scores goals too as displayed in 2000 against, you guessed it, Veron's Argentina.

Vampeta is a player with a refined technique, who functions both in midfield and as a right winger. A versatile player, a standard for any coach. He made his debut in the Brazilian Team in a friendly against Yugoslavia in September 1998. He was selected for the 1999 America Cup and won the tournament. Was a squad member of the 2002 World Cup winning team.
