The Official Maxis Site
Does not have a huge amount of official downloads but they are very good quality. Also has the Sims Exchange which I don't use but lots of poeple do.
The Sims Resource
Probably the best Sims site in my opinion. Loads of downloads for free which change every 3 days and thousands if you are willing to pay. There are some that aren't very good quality but there are so many you should find a lot of good stuff. Icludes skins, objects, walls, floors, houses and lots.
Sim Freaks
Good site. There are a ton of excellent meshes on this site but your selection is limited unless you pay. The free selection is still quite varied though. Has skins, objects, walls, floors, lots and buildings.
The Well Dressed Sim
Good selection of skins and although you have to pay to get some objects a lot of them are free and they are all good quality.
Around the Sims
Lots of free objects and skins. All good qulaity. Has a particularly large choice of Hot Date buyable skins. Has skins, objects, walls and floors.
Sims Go Go Go
Great site with lots of good quality clothes for men and a few really good quality celebrity heads as well. All free but bandwith is sometimes restricted.
Brude Sims
Good choice of skins. Has some great meshes that Brude has made.
Centerman's Sims and Stuff
Nice choice of skins of celebrities and people that Centerman knows. Skins only but all free and good quality.
Mermaid Cove
Nice set of skins for fuller-figured people as well as regular skins. Some good objects as well.
Paladin's Place
This is quite different from the other sites. It has lots of weird objects and pathes like "Dial a mime" and pet skunks/racoons. Has some good programs like FarOut and the NPC (non-playable character) replacer.
Mirhogan's Skins for Sims
Nice selection of skins from Lord of the Rings, Andromeda, Hercules, Xena, Frasier and various others. It's all free but bandwidth is limited.
Glamour Sims
Nice selection of faces and clothes organised into categories. Skins only but are all free.
