Harriston Village Sports Day 11-08-07

Well Done to everyone that took part in our sports day,
its just a shame the weather was not nicer. Everyone
had a good day and joined in. we also had a good

turn out of parents. Special thanks to the children of
Harriston who helped to make the day a success.

Special thanks to the volunteers who all got in to the
spirit of the day, especially Tony and Henry who
both got very wet. Thanks everyone for making our
sports day go so well.

The reason we have done this site is to show people where we live,
and to put our Village on the Map.

We wanted a place that our community could visit, to find out
local information and what's happening in and around our village
and village hall.

Harriston is a quiet little hamlet situated near Aspatria,
there are approximately 100 houses on the village.
The village hall is central to our community and plays a
big part in bringing our community together by providing
activities for all age groups.

Use the links above to find out about Harriston Village.
We are situated near the Solway Firth, to find us please click here.

Where we live is very picturesque, its on the edge of
the lake district in Cumbria
, if i look out of my window to the North
I can see Scotland, if i look out of my window to the South i can see
Skiddaw plus other local peaks. I can drive to Keswick, in the Lake
District in 10 minutes and it only takes 30 minutes to drive to
Scotland through the Border City of Carlisle. We will try to add
some pictures of the area around us as we develop this site.

Please join our forum, it gives you a chance to keep up with current events
to air your views and to see the views of other people living in our Village.
