The Annual village trips
to Blackpool and Camelot
Both of the trips went well, The coaches arrived on
the village
at 8.30am we had 2 coaches going to Blackpool and 1 to Camelot
even though it rained alot throughout the day, everybody
seemed to enjoy the day.
All the children off the village that went on the trips to Blackpool
and Camelot had their trips paid for and were given £5
spending money, all provided by our Community Association that
sells weekly raffle tickets to people living on the village.
This is just one of the events the weekly raffle ticket money helps fund.
Our first Sports
Day
We recently held our first
village sports day, the day went very well with a good
turn out of people from both on and off the village. The weather stayed
nice through out the day and a good day was had by all.
Derwent & Solway provided some of the entertainment by putting on face
painting, sponge polo and various other outside activies.
Special thanks to Margaret & Elaine who`s idea it
was to hold the sports day and
also to Collette and Stella from Derwent and Solway
and anyone else that helped to make
the day a big success..
