S E C T I O N S

In the ATC it is mandatory to do training and pass specific subjects and get qualifications.
To get the first class qualification you must pass:

• ATC

• RAF

• First aid

• Airmanship I

• Map reading

• History of flight

• Basic Communications

• Drill

• I.E.T.

• Rifle

The next qualification Leading cadet you must pass:

• Basic Navigation

• Principles of flight

• Airmanship II

Then comes the next qualification is the senior cadet. This is a particularly hard qualification to get. Selecting two from the following four.

• Aircraft Handling

• Air Navigation

• Propulsion

• Communication / Radar

The final qualification is the one were it is worth a BTEC or as a nationally recognised A-Level.

• Part 1

• Airframes

• Operational Flying

• Pilot Navigation

• Satellite comms

• Part 2

• Oral exam on your general knowledge of the ATC
