Scarborough Airsoft Club is based in the U.K. Situated around an ex-Second World War army camp, named Low North Camp, on the boundary of the North Yorkshire Moors in an area called Harwood Dale - 9 miles North West of Scarborough.

If you have a copy of Ordnance Survey Outdoor Leisure Map 27 - North Yorkshire Moors, Eastern Area (1:25,000 scale), you can locate Low North Camp at grid reference: SE 947953.

Events are held once every month over an entire weekend, and start at around 10:30 a.m. on a Saturday. We advise players to arrive between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. The same applies to those who turn up on the Sunday. Please confirm your arrival in advance by phone or e-mail and let us know how many are coming and from where.

Travelling from the South or West:

  • You can reach us by joining the A1, M1, or M62 towards Leeds.
  • Turn onto the A64 from Leeds to Scarborough.
  • Alternatively, join the A165 from Hull, which leads to Burniston village (4 miles North of Scarborough).
  • At the end of the A64 at Scarborough. Turn left at Falsgrave Road traffic lights, and follow the A171 towards Whitby - until you reach Burniston village.
  • Turn left onto Limestone Road (after Rix Petrol Station) and follow it for 100 yards.
  • Turn right onto Stone Quarry Road and follow signs for Harwood Dale.
  • Continue for another 4 miles. You will eventually pass through Harwood Dale village.
  • After the village, turn left at the junction towards Hackness and Silpho, follow the road until you see a sign for Low North Camp (on your right).
  • Stop and park next to Low North Bridge, which has an old steel pontoon bridge running parallel.

Travelling from the North:

  • You can take the A1 towards Middlesbrough.
  • Joining the A171 from Middlesbrough to Scarborough.
  • After passing Whitby, continue on the A171 for another 8 miles - you will eventually pass the Flask Inn (on your right).
  • About 2 miles after the Flask Inn, turn right onto the road for Harwood Dale. Continue on this road for another 3 miles.
  • At a junction, follow the road towards Hackness and Silpho, until you see a sign for Low North Camp (on your right).
  • Stop and park next to Low North Bridge.

The club currently has access to six private sites around Low North Camp, totalling 200 acres. Each site has different terrain features and vegetation, allowing varied and diverse games. Yet all sites share a common locality.

Features include mixed woodland and wild fields. Plus marshes, fern fields, gulleys, gorse, trenches, a firebase with bunkers and foxholes, a river with footbridge and the plateau. Also a fortified stone encampment commands a hillside. Other areas include evergreen and coniferous plantations plus much, much more...
