Awa Whare - River Lodge is a holiday lodge for rent on a small park (20 properties), in a very quiet location inside Dartmoor National Park.
The park is situated in the upper Teign Valley, bordered by the River Teign itself and surrounded by woodland. From the lodge there are beautiful riverside walks; upstream, through the Fingle Gorge, to Fingle Bridge and Castle Drogo or downstream to Dunsford Nature Reserve and Steps Bridge. |

The park is a David Bellamy Conservation award winner and is run with the environment in mind, for example biodegradable detergents must be used and vehicular access routes are 'green' where possible. For more details on the park click here http://www.clifford-bridge.co.uk .

In summertime there is shared use of the outdoor heated swimming pool. On the doorstep is fishing, and beautiful walks. There is plentiful wildlife with fallow deer frequent visitors to the park, buzzards circling overhead and a salmon and sea trout river, with signs of otter, within yards.
Nearby are golf courses, horse riding and pony trekking opportunities. A variety of coastal options are available including the English Riviera at Torbay within 45 minutes drive or for a different option the North Cornwall coast at Bude is 1 hours drive away.
Exeter is a fifteen to twenty minute drive away.
