BANGOR CITY lived dangerously, even having to cope a man short for the last quarter.
It was in the closing stages of this roller-coaster game that Peter Davenport's hosts snapped up two extra goals, from captain Paul Roberts and Frank Mottram.
City had got off to a fine start when Chris Priest found the Welshpool target after five minutes.
Then, in the approach to half-time, Ross Jefferies, returning to his old stomping ground, punished City twice, with a glorious 30-yarder on 37 minutes and then a toe-poke into the empty net after rounding the keeper right on 45.
City hit more trouble when Priest was shown the red card on 64 minutes for a bad tackle but the hosts responded by taking the action into Welshpool territory and Owain Jones made the situation 2-2.
Everything was up for grabs in the pulsating closing stages and Roberts embarked on a solo run to fire a 15-yarder on 80 minutes as City nudged in front, followed by Mottram celebrating his 100th goal in stoppage time.
