Match Report :

Two efforts from defender Mark Evans and a Colin Quirke effort condemed City toa 3-2 defeat in the first leg of the Loosmores Challenge Cup. City opened the scoring after a free flowing move from their own penalty area and Paul Roberts set Owain Tudur jones free of the visiting defence and one on one with the keeper, but shot striaght at the keepr, but Paul Roberts followed up to make it 1-0 after four minutes. Mark Evans then scored a stunning individual goal, finding the top corner from 20-yards after straying from his right-back berth to make it 1-1 after 35 minutes. Caernafon then made a flying start to the second half with Colin Quirke scoring after 53 minutes before Mark Evans got his second after 79 minutes. City got back to the St Paul's end and Owain Tudur Jones headed in a Morgan Jones corner. Caernarfon then hit the bar before the somewhat inconsistent Kevin Parry blew for full time.
