Pip Baker rejoins
Defender Phil Baker has re-joined City after a season at Aberyswyth. 'Pip' joined City on his release from Tranmere Rovers in January 2003, before signing for Exeter late on transfer day after walking out of a 'gentleman's agreement' he had with Peter Davenport that he'd stay until the end of the season. He then suffered relegation with Exeter and was then released for the second time in 4 months, where he joined the Merseyside contingent playing for Aberyswyth. He then left Aber when manager Gary Finley was sacked, and has been appearing recentley for Droylsden.
Peter Davenport seems to have learnt his lesson and has tied Baker to a 12-month contract. He could make his debut instead of the injured Gareth Evans in Friday night's match at Connah's Quay Nomads.

He was taken to hospital where he received stitches for a gash above his left ear, but was fit enough to travel back North with the rest of the team.
