The B.D.A.S. was formed in May 1927 and in 1954 Westbrook Mere was purchased by the club . At this time the club limited its membership to 100. The next important step in the clubs history occurred in 1967 when it was decided to form the club into a limited company.

We have a picture gallery where you can see our latest captures and some beautiful pictures of our fisheries,  the answers to the most frequently asked questions of our bailiff's are on the By-Laws page.

Our fisheries are very well looked after and it should be noted that nearly all of the swims on our lake fisheries have access for disabled anglers with or without wheelchairs.
