Snooks Pool

Lake View

Snooks Pool is a part of our Westbrook Mere fishery as it is linked to it by 2 channels, although most think of it as a seperate fishery.

Snooks was dug about 25 years later than the Mere as an addition to it. Its depth is as the Mere, between 3 and 10 feet and it holds a considerable head of Carp, mostly 1 to 5 lb but with a good number of "doubles". In addition there is a healthy head of Roach, Bream, Perch and Tench.

Fish may be caught on a variety of methods and baits including ledger/feeder, waggler and pole in conjunction with maggot, sweetcorn, boilies, bread and worms sometimes with the careful use of a small amount of groundbait.
