Lewis's department store - the statue of "Dicky Lewis" famous for its place in the song "In my Liverpool home" ("we speak with an accent exceedingly rare, meet under the statue exceedingly bare..") under this statue has for many years been a favourite meeting place for people in Liverpool, John and Cynthia included!

If you're one of the many true Beatles devotees what better place to go for a holiday than the place were it all started...Liverpool.
Thousands of people come here every year to "do the Beatles thing" and walk in the fab four's footsteps.
Apart from the famous tourist spots such as the Beatles Story museum and Penny lane etc there are actually many places where the Beatles spent time that not many people know about, if there is anywhere you wish to know more information about please click the link below to email me and I will do my best to find you the details you need...
I will try my best to supply you with the information you ask for such as maps, directions, hotel info, tourist info, web links, good places to visit, etc but as some places have very little information about them I can't guarantee it will be all the details you need.
Above - Dovedale towers an old church hall, now a pub was where the beatles once played.
Penny lane is not exactly what people expect when they get there!! yes it is in fact a normal street where people live and do every day things lol!!
Of course it is still worth a visit... isn't any place that inspired the boys to write such a great song? This area (Dovedale primary, Dovedale road) was where John and George went to school and much of their childhoods were spent around here. No wonder it was special enough to them to sing about.
If you've ever seen the video to the song Penny lane you will also notice the green buses and the "shelter in the middle of the roundabout" as most of the video was shot here.
