TVChix

Well, after hearing about them for ages I thought I'd give TVchix a go and see what it was like. So I joined, got approved and started to look round... well it's not really that shocking but blimey are there lots of people just looking for sex or what !(BTW, it's NOT the reason I joined!)

Now I'm not a prude in any way (cos that would just be totally hypocritical), but (hmmm, if you say "but" after saying "I'm not a prude" does that mean your a prude?) the thing that gets me is the totally blatant way some people seem to advertise themselves! Hey, maybe it's just that I can't see the attraction to someone being so blunt and with such dumb names as "Bigus Dickus" (OK I know no one would choose that unless they loved Monty Python way too much but you get the idea?) I dunno, it confuses me.

It reminds me of one time going to Transmissions. There were loads of admirers there and most of them were alone and ignored. Why? Well most of them had turned up looking scruffy, unshaven and looked as if they had just stopped working on their decorating (now I look like that a lot but not when I'm planning to go out). Now the admirers who seemed to be successful were dressed nicely, were polite and were not learing(?) at all the T-Girls. Lesson being- look nice, look as if you care and smile and be friendly and you'll be hellishly suprised :)

Of course, I'm probably being horrendously niave, after all TVChix is for all sorts of meetings (including the sexual ones) and some people probably find the whole bluntness refreshing... each to their own.

This post may seem like a criticism of TVChix but honestly it's not and I really hope it's not taken that way. I admire the people who dedicate their time and money to helping lots of people and the site caters for such a diverse group of people. The site is huge and so much still to look at with what appears a good community. Maybe I've just been in too many safe and secure groups before. The post is just a comment really on the fact I can't understand why people aren't more subtle about things? Why do people have to write "I have a 10 inch ****". What's the point? Is it just male ego? Is it just showing off.. is it exageration...

Ah hell, what does it matter? People will write what they want and be as blunt as they want.

Luckily there also seems to be a lot of people just looking for friendships and people to go out with which is why I joined and they look as if they think pretty similar thoughts to me as well.

So here goes and hopefully my delete key won't get too worn out :)

I'll let you know how things go... but at the moment I'd definately recomend joining TVChix, unless you are easily shocked that is!

Eventually

Well, things seem to have finally come together and I've finally managed to get this site up and running. Hopefully I will also be updating this blog more often than I have in the last year or so! Actually I'm trying to work out what I'm going to be doing as the blog is seperate from the journal and the journal is the place I've been putting my diary, where I've been etc. I think the blog may be a place to write any thoughts? Dunno... we'll see!

Excuse the mess.

Hmmm, a bit embarrased, just finished uploading the new site and it appears a bit of a mess.. too late to do anything about it tonight, will look at cleaning it all up tomorrow.

wait longer....

Siobhan article on "Stolen Clothing Moments" reminded me of something from many years ago... cue weird wiggly line effect and "duppley doo dubbley doo" sound effects!

I remember my parents going out and I thought, as you do as a young tranny, great time to dress up as they were away for the whole evening... well I quickly got all dressed up (no makeup at that age... well a little but not a huge amount... it tended to be those pencils that when you put them in water turned to paint.. they were quite good but i shudder to think what they really looked like!) Anyway, I remember I'd just finished dressing and just putting on the "makeup" when.... "bang", the back door slammed shut!!!

"Oh SHIT!!!" our young heroine thought... and then heard her mothers voice shouting... "are you there... the fog outside is terrible!"

FOG!!! It was a clear night... well I didn't realise quite what patchy fog could be like. They had decided to return home and cancel their evening out... and here was I in a dress, tights, shoes and makeup!!! Luckily I was in the bathroom so I shut the door and pretended I was having a shave! But my mother was outside the room asking what I was doing so I couldn't start getting changed back until she left...

OK, so I laugh at it now but by god I was scared... I managed to get changed and washed and went to see them, now what they thought I was doing was probably nothing like what I was doing... I hope.

Anyway, it obviously taught me a lesson.. erm.. wait longer when someone has gone out before getting all dolled up!

peoples view of the world

It is probably no huge guess that I am a great fan of ebay :) In fact I seem to have lost all ability to buy from normal shops when I know I can buy things from ebay much cheaper... this is more true for "Becky" items rather than "him".

However, I am always astounded by some of the weird views that people have of things they sell... take this for instance .

£80 opening bid... erm get in the real world... Ok so it's from a "designer boutique" but it's about 20 years out of fashion.. isn't it? Hmmm... I'll leave it at that as I need to go bid on something :)

Resistance

Resistance...

Yesterday I went to the hairdressers and realised part way through having my haircut that I nearly started chatting about harstyles I liked and nearly blurted out about the wigs I owned... not a good idea!

Actually I found it quite funny, in that kind of "ooops, that was a close thing"
