Transmissions is a great place.
Well, I guess I'm going to be very long winded again as this site is as much for me to remember back, somewhat like a diary, and I want to record everything.
The trip into London was pretty uneventful, well apart from the underground being pretty much closed where I wanted to go... so I picked up my bag (very full, how come as a guy I can pack for a weekend out in a small haversack yet for Becky for one night it was like a suitcase :) ) Anyway, vaguely knowing the direction I set off across town. Found the club and then made my way to the hotel and checked in. I had arranged to meet Jenny there en drab and lo and behold who should I check in next to but Jenny. Only thing is we didn't know each others male selves having never met in the flesh. So we stood next to each other in ignorance :) Well once I'd unpacked off I went to find a payphone and give her a ring. It was quite funny having been right next to each other 1/2 hour before.
A couple of cokes later we were chatting away and then went to get a bottle of wine and then went to get ready to go out. Only worry was that I was meant to be ringing a girl called Nina as well... well I would have... if only the number wasn't at home next to my PC! Oooops! Sorry Nina, glad you made it there though.
Well, getting changed was quite funny. I get total ribbings from my friends at the Fox for taking about and hour to get ready. However, tonight I was totally outclassed :) Jenny took far longer than me which relieved me no end as I thought I was going to have to rush. LOL.
8:45 came and there we were, ready to head out. Both terribly nervous of being out in public for the first time. I've been to the Fox before but it's very tranny friendly but Jenny had never been anywhere, never mind having to walk out of the hotel to get a taxi! Jenny looked absolutely gorgeous and very feminine, and remarkably at ease.
Well, we just opened the door and off we went. No problems, we were out and walking down the corridor. Got to the lift and there was a young couple in it. We got in with them and it bloody well went up instead of down... well I was nearly in hysterics from looking subtly at them and seeing their faces... very amusing. They left the lift and I'm sure they were waiting for the lift doors to close to say something to each other. Well we gave them something to talk about I guess.
Then the lift started down only to stop on our original floor and two men and two ladies got in. They looked at us for a minute and then just smiled really nicely. Ok they knew but their whole attitude seemed really friendly. Well when we got to the ground floor there was a large group of people waiting to get in.
Talk about trial by fire, how many people had we been in close proximity to in 2 minutes! No horrible comments, no problems. I think we were both now feeling a lot more confident and we walked across that huge lobby and out to the taxis, our heads held high....and NO TAXIS! Argghh all through the day there had been queues of them. Well I had to go back in to ask the concierge to put the sign on for them. We went back to wait and saw another group of girls leaving the hotel as well. Well a taxi arrived and we got in, we couldn't share unfortunately as there were too many for one taxi. We were on our way :)
So here there we were, the club beckoned and in we went... and I think from that moment on I couldn't stop grinning :) There were so many girls there, all looking absolutely stunning. We went downstairs to leave our coats and met with Sarah from the Fox who was just getting ready - as lovely as ever. A few minutes later all three of us were upstairs and there were a load of girls from the Fox who we went to chat to and for Jenny to meet. I'm not even going to try to name everyone as I'm bound to miss someone out :) Needless to say they all looked wonderful.I know Jenny was nervous right then, but she didn't show it at all and she had so many compliments you could see her confidence growing by the minute. Many of the girls couldn't believe that this was her 1st time out... something tells me it won't be her last either!
Anyway, the night passed in a flash. I met some lovely girls who I'd chatted to on the internet before. Jessica, who is as stunning in real life as in all her photos. She is just so photogenic and also a lovely person to talk to. I really hope to see her again real soon.
I also met Kate who was fantastic to chat to and also, I think, one of the most gorgeous girls I've ever met...and that includes genetic girls. She really is just so natural. My gf actually was astounded to realise she was a t-girl. She compared her to a singer, but as you may know, pop music aint my thing so I just nodded thinking "who?" :)
Nina managed to get there as well, and she looked great. Very convincing, and I do mean very. She even walked there from the hotel on her own which was astounding and far braver than I could ever be. I only realised when I downloaded my pics that I didn't manage to take any pictures of her. In fact I had a problem remembereing to use my camera as I was so busy talking to all these new people.
I would have loved to have managed to just say hello to some of the other Angels that night but time just slipped away and suddenly it was time to leave.
Well, adventure over? Not quite, we still had to get a taxi back to the hotel and at 2am ish the amount of free taxis is apparently quite limited. We stood at the street corner trying to flag them down, well after a whole night out dressed nothing really phased us anymore. A few people walked by but no problems, not even any comments or stare... obviously we were so convincing that no one realised ;) or they were too drunk to wonder about three very tall girls. Quite a few police vans and cars cruised by though, it certainly makes you feel safer :)Well after 15 minutes we got a taxi and were back at the hotel, got back to the room and had a nice cup of tea :) before retiring for a few hours sleep.
And when bagpuss goes to sleep all his friends go to sleep :)
LOL, nearly over. Tonight was such a fantastic evening and one I want to repeat on a pretty regular basis. OK, my bank account probably won't survive monthly but we'll have to see. To all those who have never been, if you ever get the chance you won't regret it. The only fear to overcome is the fear of fear itself. There are so many lovely girls who will help you out, London is so relaxed that people really didn't bat an eyelid. Just remember to stay safe.
When someone on the Angels site said that we would be grinning into next week... guess who's still grinning. Just writing all this down brings it all back again.
Thankyou to the Angels for just being there for us all, thankyou to Vickie and everyone else involved with Transmissions and a big thankyou to Kim and everyone involved in the Debutantes Ball. I know I'd been to the Fox before but this event gave me the much needed incentive. I will never forget tonight :)
Becky
