Well, I enjoyed the previous photoshoot so much I thought that I may as well do another :) But whilst I was doing so I started thinking (Hey it happens occasionally!) "Why do we enjoy taking our pics and then putting them online?" I guess it's a question we all ask ourselves and also a question that our partners, if we have them, ask. It's hard enough to understand ourselves, but having to explain it to others is almost impossible.
Maybe we are looking for that one definitive picture of ourselves, that picture that is so passable that no one would ever suspect, maybe we're looking for acceptance and the complliments we get take us some way to that end, maybe it narcicism in it's purest form :) I think it's probably an equal mixture of all. Whatever it is I have come to realise over time that the fact that I enjoy it is enough of a reason for me. So maybe the explanation when people ask us why we do it should be "because I enjoy it." In the end why not?
But that kind of leads to another question that maybe only you can explain. Why do you like looking at these pics? Answers on a postcard to... No seriously. Why? I'd really like to know. I know I like looking at girls sites because I love hearing their thoughts, their outings, their experiences. Sometimes I laugh, sometimes I cry (hopefully in the right places). The pics help just to increase a bond and also show a bit more about that person. Another part of the jigsaw. I know that visual clues are very much a male trait but I guess that applies to me as well!
