Fox and Hounds: 21st May 2003

Tonight was great fun. Karen had organised Frobishers Wigs to come down to the Fox and bring loads of wigs for us to try on. It was great fun seeing everyone try different hairstyles. Even Wayne joined in the fun :) I decided to go totally NOT me. I thought that I'd try short hair. Well the first one you see I thought to myself didn't look too bad but seeing some of the pics from other girls urghhh. Mind you it was still fun to try a different look even if it didn't work.

Having tried on that wig I then progressed to two short dark wigs. Now nobody knows me from my youth at the Fox but my haircut back then was very similar to this.... obviously not so feminine but similar. In some ways it was quite spooky looking in the mirror. I liked these two wigs a heck of a lot and I nearly bought one of them. May do in the future when the bank account recovers.

Tried an Angelica wig on next- the long blonde one.. Not bad but not 100% sure. Maybe brushed a bit more and also in a slightly different colour and I'd be sorely tempted. Then I tried one on called Tracy. It's the short bobbed blonde one. Well I kind of fell for this one straight away. I loved it and I knew I had got a new look.... Again! LOL, well come on women can go get their hair done whenever they want in different colours and styles. I don't have that option so I buy wigs :)

I had expected Frobishers to be a lot more expensive than the internet sites yet they were not that much more. With the internet sites you have to pay delivery and any taxes if from outside the EU. With Frobishers I managed to try on wigs that I never would have ever thought could have fit or even suited me and even a variety of colours and found to my suprise that they did. I think this makes it worth that little bit more. Also I had friends there to laugh and tell me "No" to certain wigs :) Actually going to a professional like Frobishers is worth the little bit more you pay. I have wigs in the closet that I doubt will ever see the light of day.

Well after playing with the wigs I went back to my long red hair and we took a few pics. It was a good night and lots of people there as usual. We even had music as Alice and a gentleman played the piano for us. They were both fantastic and it really added something to the atmosphere of the evening.

Well, I've also taken some pics of the wig I bought. Thought they looked quite nice and even though it's terribly vain I decided to put them up. Well, let's face it this site is mine so where better :) We're such a vain bunch!

Yuck... bit better... like it now :) hang on this looks the same... different wig though! Not too sure about his... different colour and maybe... This is the one! Sarah and I recover after all that wig work :) Melissa, Karen, me and Jaye just about to do the can-can. Melissa, Della and Jaye Karen and Melissa Jaye, Melissa, Karen and I but we'd swapped round from the one above! Sarah... had to tell her to stop drinking whilst i took the pic... you'd think she's have learned how to pose by now? Karen, Melissa and I. My, isn't that camera high up... can you see the skin parting on this wig...good isn't it? This is also one of my favourites and may feature ore on the site... Hmm, do you think I have a chance in the modelling business? Can you tell I've run out of things to say?
