Well, I finally got out again! "No" I hear the reader cry... "we'd just got used to Becky being a couch potato and never posting any updates"... well sorry to dissapoint ;) Ok , so it has been a long time since I've been out and as I sit here writing this I haven't yet seen our pics of the night.. of which there are very few :( or :) depending on your view point!
So where do I start... erm by first filling up my glass of wine which seems to have all evaporated... and that is my story and I'm sticking to it! BRB!
Right. I'm back and have put on a my music to type by :)
Well the day started with a trip down the A12 to London with Sarah and Stella, we parked near Covent Garden and a went for a quick shopping trip. I was sucked into Forbidden Planet and I don't think I have ever seen so many fantasy/horror/sci-fi/Role Playing books and comics in my life:) Was I in heaven or what? Ok, so I managed to pull my way out of there after only buying four books of my fave authors, I could have spent the rest of the weekend in there and still not scratched the surface.
Well, we carried on shopping for a bit, Sarah bought some more foundation from Charles Fox. I hung around looking stupid... I had 3 days beard growth so couldn't play :( However, the shop is so cool... there were SFX makeup and prosthetics in there which were great, and also carnival masks from venice which are gorgeous... oh and makeup.. nearly forgot that!
Well, then we went for something to eat nearby, the food and wine was lovely but the service left something to be desired! After that it was off to the hotel to book in and get ready... glass of wine on the way to the room! (Do you get the idea that wine will be quite common in this update?)
Well, in the room we started to get ready except Sarah discovered that her top didn't fit her! She had only brought one outfit with the intention that it would stop her being undecided on what to wear! Arghhh, PANIC! Well, we tried other items.. hey I took 3 outfits with me, but in the end Sarah shot off to look for a Supermarket that did clothes. Stella and I carried on getting ready, a bit worried.
30 minuted later Sarah returned, no luck! Was the night cursed? Luckily Sarah managed to sort something out and I think it looked great! 8.40 and we were ready :)
Ok at this point I was scared witless again... going out in public, walking down those stairs was too much... but Sarah gave me that " For Gods sake get your arse out of the room" look and I went... We walked straight down and into the lobby and straight out...wow... no comments... well that I heard anyway :)
So where were all these taxis that were meant to be outside the hotel? None there! Stella went for a walk with us in tow and found one... I say "found" loosely. She looked up a street, Sarah and I trying to look inconspicuous, and then yelled at the top of her voice "TAXI!" Luckily it was deserted otherwise we would have had everyone look at us :))
Well the taxi ride was uneventful till near TX when he turned round and said "looks like theres been a murder or something round here, all the roads are blocked off!" So he stops outside the Barbican underground with a crowd of people and Stella jumps out to ask the Police Lady what is happening! BOMB ALERT! Oh oh!
Luckily it turns out that it is a false alarm and about 2 minutes later we are allowed in. Phew. We feel kind of like superstars as the Police Lady lifted the barricade for us to go in... joe public still stuck there! LOL.
We got to TX and it turns out they were all stuck downstairs for an hour whilst the police checked the vehicle. Not very busy, lots of girls must have given up earlier. Nice to see the Police Lady there as well just chatting to the girls :) I must just say how great our Police are, they certainly don't get enough praise, if someone said to me stand here and turn back people whilst we defuse this bomb I'd be scared witless (nice word there and it rhymes quite well with what I actually meant ;)!) Well done to them all :)
Well we got into TX and put our coats away and got a drink and sat down...and the night I hear you all cry? Didn't you?
We talked, we danced, we had a great time. Unfortunately there was not many other people there that we knew.. erm none actually! But we chatted to two girls there about which pop stars bodies we'd quite like :) I think Madonna in her "Frozen" video was my choice.. erm or Britney in her "Toxic" or Kylie.. all the time :) LOL... ok many women.
It was a great night.... one question I had though. You see a few admirers there, which I think is fine, I have no problems with them if they are nice and polite. There were a few there who were really nicely turned out, suits or smart-casual clothes, but why do some insist on coming out to a club in jeans and a football top? Nothing wrong with that at your local pub but if they were there to meet someone couldn't they make an effort? Ok Now I feel kinda bitchy but just seems strange? They are obviously there to chat someone up. Looking round the ones who had met girls were the ones looking nice... strange that.. actually made me think about what I normally wear in male mode when I go out! Hey, just an observation! Don't lynch me!
Well, the night was finally over and we got a taxi back to the hotel. Again no hassles in the hotel, although we didn't fancy the bar this time. It was full of "muggles" (as I heard one girl on the Angels name them). Only a few snickers from a group of ladies as we passed... ahh heck who cares! Made someone smile and I'd had a great night out! I may have gone to talk to them but I'd drunk too much and I was feeling sleepy.
Sunday, as soon as we had recovered from the previous nights binge drinking, we got ourselves together and went to Camden Market... WOW... BECKY HEAVEN.... Goth shops galore, jewellry, chinese dresses... food from every corner of the world... people who were fantastic and outlandish... I LOVE CAMDEN!!! you've got to experience it to believe it... I'm going again real soon where I will spend far too much money, most of all it is the whole place and the people :) Nothing is strange!
So that's it. My 3rd Transmissions! What a great night!
Any downsides? Well I guess it would be better if I had the confidence to go talk to other girls there as I am far too quiet and nervous. But let's face it, it's a club, not a support group and if I went more often I'm sure it would be better... but at nearly £100 for the hotel room and petrol it's not gonna happen until I win the lottery!
Talking about winning the lottery, what would you do if you won- TG related only? Laser, electrolysis, facial feminisation, breast implants, whole way, massive wardrobe change... would you go full time, would you have two homes and live 2 lives? What would I do with unlimited money... email me with your ideas and find out! It will be very boring though I'm afraid! ;)
So that's it... now I guess you want the photos? Erm ok, sorry but I forgot my camera and although I used Sarah's a little there aren't all that many pics... sorry! Ok so four by the time we got rid of the ones we didn't like :)
