XXHTML is based on XHTML, the W3C's standard for increasing traffic on the internet, a few bytes at a time. XXHTML was originally going to be called "XXLHTML", to stand for "Extra Extra Large HTML". However, we decided against it. This would give people the (correct) impression that this whole "standard" was just to increase the size of the average hypertext document.

Anyway, on with the show. XXHTML uses such advanced syntax that the web browser developers are scratching their heads trying to work out how to parse it! That's excellent, isn't it? (*audience agrees*) Some of XXHTML's accomplishments include:
