BJ Card Counter is a project I have undertaken as a result of a profound interest
in card counting. After practicing with one and two real deck of cards I found there were
several disadvantages:
while counting through, if you are suddenly having difficulty you will have
a natural tendency to slow down the shuffle through. Adjusting the pace because you are having difficulties isn't good because the dealer at the casino will not slow down for you;
shuffling the cards takes time and is not truely random;
On the other hand, BJ Card Counter helps counting cards by:
enabling you to control exactly how fast the cards will flash through;
forcing you to adjust yourself to the pace, instead of the opposite happening;
choosing 1, 2, 4 or 6 decks, thereby enforcing mental endurance and simulating casino play where the count can get very negative or very positive;
not getting caught wasting your employer's time (compare that to counting
down real decks at the work place)!
Progression with this program is very fast... in three weeks I lowered a one-deck-count-down from
35 secs to 19 secs.
Why is it free?
Because I want many people to benefit from it.
What is my background?
I have just completed my computer science undergrad at the Royal Military College of Canada. My first language is French and I like poutine.
