My Point Exactly - written 22nd September 2005

Please don't consider because i walk with eyes open
That i can carry myself for all time,
Symphonies swell underneath my brown patterned waters
Strings Peter played whisper ghosts for my steps.
Every glint rusted copper blinds my trials to succeed
Here alone in a world made for couples,
Charcoal smudged eyes hide away on the stage of my nights
Leaving regret and remorse when i wake.
No-one imagines that i might be lost with no point
No longer navigated by respect,
Please promise he isn't your world and all you might need
Because his love gave me purpose for once.

Wednesday - written 2nd November 2005, doesn't time fly - don't the things that hurt stay the same?

Steps thumping like the ticking clock,
Darkened streets, hallways of the closed up church,
Dread of lonely reality,
Windowless, courtyards with waves of rain falling,
Stacked glasses smashing
Like my heart that walks these roads,
Awnings' shadows hide my face
And a distant flame flickers out.
