Metal tress stand side by side A marching band of aluminium Telling us to stop, or go, Or wait for the coming ride. And for a while I did not see The figure standing Black against the rising sun, Leaning against one metal tree. Once I looked up from my gaze Upon the steering wheel Adjusting to the morning light With shapes appearing from the haze. And then I saw that figure there, And I punched the wheel For taking my attention from Those dazzling eyes and hair. Now I have the choice to make Each day, to be late for School or never see that figure Or maybe take an early trip fake. And I havent talked to him yet But he probably thinks me strange Because once I smiled to him, Someone I have never met. |

You probably can't remember my smile Or the colour of my hair And if you knew my name You'd probably forget, its easy to forget. If it were easy for me i would, I would give in, in an instance To the slumber of ignorance I would renounce the chains my heart Has flung from my eyes and soul To yours. Because these chains will only pull Whilst you kiss the sweet lips of The girl in your arms They'll pull, they'll taunt and i'll yearn. I can't forget dear sir - The imprint of your eyes The deep brown of your hair The pounding of my heart when I know you're near. And if i could put a name to your Handsome face, I would press it on my chest And hope the letters reached My chained heart So that i could never forget that, That names my one desire That, that has linked my heart to its With a simple gaze, upon its lips. |
