To put it quite simply, whenever and wherever we can we will.
It is very important for any gardener to have the right resources. We hope by bringing the issue of recycling to your attention that you may see as to help us, help our members, many of whom struggle because of low incomes, eg. the unemployed and the retired.
Recycling various materials will allow us to give our members the necessary support and encouragement they need to succeed. Recycling also benefits the environment as it reduces landfill which increases the life expectancy of landfill sites. A well thought out recycling strategy may also considerably reduce landfill taxes and increase awareness and esteem within the local community through partnerships.
Both local businesses and the general public can assist us locally but on a national level contact your nearest Allotment Society to see how you can help.
If you have a business and are interested in what could possibly be recycled that may aid allotmenteers please contact us by pen or e-mail.
