I have a pleasure to itroduce a
figure of Marc Drogin and his artistic cards created by him. Marc
Drogin is a New York journalist, writer, illustrator and calligrapher.
He used to work as a reporter for New York "Look Magazine" as well as a
draughtsman for "Village Voice". He is an author of four books devoted
to history and techniques of medieval calligraphy; he was giving
lectures on medieval calligraphy in the USA, England, Canada and
Iceland.
Since 1972 Marc Drogin has been running his own graghic studio.
According to the information from Marc Drogin, till April 2004, during
32 years of his profesional career, he produced ca 12000 cards,
approximately 400 projects (with various modifications) for about 2800
customers.
Marc Drogin’s cards, beacause of his exceptional, artistic style are
welcome in every collection and are sought-after by almost every cards
collector. Marc designs his cards for dentists, doctors and
representatives of other professions. The biggest known to me
collections of so called "Drogins" have hundreds of items each.
