FEB. 1961 |
M/2/26939 & M/2/26940 |
Both of these chassis numbers were recorded
as being experimental and not as Mark F’s so it has
been assumed that they were the first development cars
to the Mark G specification. By researching early photographs
and sales brochures, the registration allocation for
PCK 727
(Sunburst Yellow/White) and PCK
898 (Wine/Grey) respectively, fit the date exactly. Both
vehicles are known to have had aluminium rear wings
with glass fibre fin inserts and plastic wing trims.
This photograph of PCK 727 also shows it had Fawn seats with red piping,
Fawn door trims, a Cream instrument panel and non-opening
front quarter lights.
