Terre Haute Postcards

Terre Haute Postcards

This is my history and guide to my adopted home - Terre Haute, Indiana.

Introduction

On 6th March 2005, I was lucky enough to come across some old postcards of Terre Haute at the 25th Semi-Annual Indiana Book and Paper Show in Indianapolis. According to Dorothy W. Jerse and John R. Becker III in their book "Terre Haute & Vigo County in Vintage Postcards" there are around 2,000 different postcards of Terre Haute in existence, the first produced by the Star Printing Company in 1898. Since those first postcards in 2005, I've collected 424 Terre Haute postcards on the site, just over a fifth of the 2,000, and these are presented here for you along with other memorabilia.
