Welcome to my website. On this site I aim to give descriptions of some local walks in the Vale of Glamorgan in South Wales together with points of interest along the way. Hopefully you will have enough detail to try the walks yourself although it is always a good idea to take an OS map with you. If you are new to walking, consider joining the Ramblers who have a varied programme of guided walks, short and long and on different days of the week. The Ramblers are also a good point to contact over footpath issues.  The What's New section gives details of other accompanied walks sponsored by the National Nature Reserve at Kenfig, Cosmeston Lakes Country Park and Heritage Coast Centre at Dunraven. You will also see details of some walks by the Caerphilly Mountain Countryside Service on or near the Vale.

What's New also gives you links to check on the weather, the tides and sunrise and sunset times.

If you are visiting South Wales and want to know more about the area, go to the Links section to connect to other sites with information on the Vale of Glamorgan and surrounding area.

Left, a stone stile on the coast passed on the Llantwit walk. Right, the ruined windmill visible to the right as you take the link road towards Cardiff from Junction 33 on the M4.

With the other sites showing local walks, covered in the Walks section, there are now over 20 described in the Vale. If you have any suggestions you can contact me by clicking on the icon below.
