xml:namespace prefix = o />Welcome to the ON THE BUSES newsletter.

Thanks to everyone who signs the message board and welcome onboard to the new newsletter members. It is always surprising how many fans of the show from around the world send emails and it's good to know there are so many overseas fans. I will try and include more of these emails on the web site for others to read...

Who runs the fanclub, web site, and magazine somebody asked? Just me, myself and I, but it is knowing that so many of you visit the web site and contact me that makes all the effort worthwhile.

A picture has just come to mind of the women who sometimes appeared at the end of Morecambe and Wise. "If you've enjoyed the show then it's all been worthwhile" but unless your a clippie I ain't going to say" and I love you all."

There is a new magazine coming out that looks very promising. It is called ON THE AIR.

What's it about and why is ON THE BUSES fanclub interested? I quote

"It will contain features on actors in, background to, and features in appreciation of, classic British TV shows – from our major soaps to legendary sit-coms and dramas" So now you know

In the June edition will be an interview with Stephen Lewis courtesy of Last of The Summer Wine.

ON THE AIR are also interested in hearing details of and getting contact from other fan clubs.

There are also free taster editions of ON THE AIR  becoming available for March so if you want to order one and find out more go to (er not till you have read the ON THE BUSES newsletter) Give ON THE BUSES a mention if you contact them, thanks

Now how about this..........

The 3 Buses films I worked on were at EMI Elstree and of course there were some pretty girls running about,,
I used to say to some of  the male extra's,,''If Stan and Jack can pull a Dolly bird, there's a chance for all of us''
Aitch,,,

Want to know more about 'Aitch, click on (NOY YET)  http://www.harryfielder.co.uk/

No date of transmission for the South Bank Show that will include Reg Varney, but I know it has been put back to later in the year. As soon as I get a date it will appear on the web site and in the newsletter.

I have only had a couple of correct entries for the comp in the ON THE BUSES magazine so if you are a full member of the club have a look at the mag competition and send your answer in before the next edition out in Feb. who knows it could be you that wins the prize.

I hope you all had a good Christmas. The New Year..... well I think everyone knows how tragic and devastating the tsunami disaster was, so well leave it at that.

Until next time

DING DING

Regards
Steve
