2005; One was noted on February 24th off Tregunna and Pinkson Creek.

2004; One adult March 9th at Burniere Point. One sub-adult at Amble Marshes March 23rd. An adult at Burniere Point April 9th.

2003; One Jan 14th to April 29th was joined by three others March 12th to 29th. Three remained into May. (More photographs of these birds)

2002; One January 17th to March 12th. One August 13th and another September 20th to 21st.
2001; Three on the Amble Marshes October 18th.
2000; One September 15th to 24th.
1998: One July 12th to 15th.
1997; Ten flew west on October 2nd with one remaining until 11th. (Nine birds were noted at the Hayle Estuary).
1995; One July 14th to 20th. One October 23rd to 25th.
1988; One April 9th.
1987; Three juveniles October 14th to 20th.
1973; One November 26th.
1961; Two at Bodieve September 19th.
1958; One at Trewornan April 21st.
1956; One at Rock October 17th to 18th.
1948; One August 29th to September 18th.
1946; One June 22nd to 30th.
1944; One April 30th to June 24th.
1943; Three May 22nd.
1937; One November 7th to 10th. A Skeleton found at Burniere Point on December 12th was probably of this bird.
1936; The two from last year were noted in January.
1935; Two in November were still present at the end of the year.
1922; A single was noted in January.

As can be seen from the chart below October is by far the best month to spot this species on the Estuary, (even taken in account a flock of ten in 1997).

Favoured area for this species are the mudflats/saltings in the Dinham/Burniere Point sections, the Amble Marshes and Pinkson Creek. Most of the rest of the estuary, although, has been visited at sometime.
