This tunnel was on a short extension to the Barry Island line to the Barry Pier Station. The east portal is located within the yard of the Barry Sailing Club and visitors are not welcome. The west portal can be wiewed (with difficulty) from the road. It is currently used occasionally as a shooting range. A rumour I heard is that the Barry Preservation Railway are looking to purchase the tunnel and run trains through it.
