to CARPOHOLIC UK.
A carp fishing resource
Our goal is to provide you with some useful information about carp angling in East Anglia and French carp fishing, which I hope you will find both fun and helpful.
Carpoholic (aka Paul Ashley) has been fishing pretty well exclusively carp fishing for the last 17 years, previously serving an apprenticeship maggot bashing and fishing the local match circuit since 11 years of age (and don’t ask me how long ago that was, as far as I am concerned I am still only 29 !!).
Over that time I got married twice (I am currently on long suffering wife Deborah), had 2 rug rats, Liam (12) and Shannon (10), done a variety of sales jobs (including running Ivel Trading fishing tackle) and currently serving time (at my employers pleasure) as a contracts manager for a national resin flooring contractor.
On this resource you find information about the club water I currently fish ( Biggleswade & Hitchin Angling Association), the Woolpack fishery, some giggles about buddies I go fishing with as well as water reports, fishing tackle reviews, carp rig information and links to many carp sites including French carp waters, English carp lakes, fishing holidays, carp bait .......................
We are adding more information all the time, so revisit the carp pages frequently for the latest updates.
We are doing some homework on adding a waterlife page shortly to provide information on the types of river and lake weed found in England and on Aquatic life and the benefits to our carp.
Every year we are out to several French carp waters to tempt the inhabitants on to the bank and after each visit we will place a review page onto the site to help any others following in our footsteps.
The latest reviews are on Le Village, La Botte, de Boux, Mas Bas lake and shortly Bills lake.
Feel free to Bivvy up and browse around this site and if you have any questions, comments (good or bad) or simply need more information please contact us by clicking on the e-mail link or post it on the carp forum.
