SDW - South Downs Way in a Day - 2004

Sunday 27th June 2004

The ride is summed up by Pete:

Four years ago I had a go at cycling the South Downs Way over a weekend with some friends; we failed miserably, having to take the train back at the end of the first day having failed to make the overnight stop, due to exhaustion. The following year I returned fitter and managed it, but it was a hard weekend's riding. On Sunday as a part of our buildup to the TransAlp Gary and I completed the ride in a day. The weather was perfect and we had some wind-assistance. We were delivered and collected by Mince, but were otherwise unsupported. A memorable day.
