CHECK LIST

Telegraph Fantasy Football is easy to enter and offers managers an unbeatable package. With a first prize of £50,000, large cash prizes for runners up, weekly prizes and an exclusive magazine for everybody who takes part, the time taken to pick a team will be very rewarding.

To help you put together a winning team we've provided a check list which will simplify the selection process.

  1. Enter your personal details. You will be required to enter your name, address, date of birth, daytime and evening phone numbers and your e-mail address.

  2. Enter your team details. You must select 11 different players from the list given to make up your team. This selection must include:

Each player is valued in £millions and the total value of your team must not exceed £50 million. There are no restrictions on the number of players you can select from any one team. You can click the Auto Team Select box if you would like our computer to pick a team for you.

  3. Choose a team name. This must be up to a maximum of 20 characters.

  4. Select a football club. Tell us which team you support.

  5. Payment. It costs £3 to play Telegraph Fantasy Football as an individual. This can be paid on a secure payment site by credit or debit card, or you can print out your completed application form and team details and send it by post to Telegraph Fantasy Football, PO Box 4001, Colchester, CO2 8FW together with a cheque or postal order. If you wish to make internet transfers you must pay an additional £2, irrespective of whether you apply by post or via the internet. The total cost of entry is £5 if you wish to make internet transfers.

  6. Super Leagues.

BY POST: Please see The Daily Telegraph every Wednesday from July 13 for a Super League application form and a scale of costs. Super Leagues give you the opportunity to compete against friends or colleagues in a separate league. A minimum of five must join (there is no maximum), a Chairman must be appointed and all applications belonging to that league must be sent in one envelope with one payment. Price per individual entry depends upon the number of teams within your league: 5-9 teams at £5 per team; 10-19 teams at £4 per team; 20 or more teams at £3 per team. Each fortnight the chairman will receive a breakdown of the league's performance. A first prize of £5,000 is awarded to the Super League with the highest average at the end of the season. This is calculated using the top five highest scoring managers.

VIA THE INTERNET: Super Leagues may be entered on-line. Chairmen must register the Super League and their own team on-line. This will generate a Super League PIN number which, along with the Super League name, must be passed on to all potential participants of that league. Managers must then register their team within the Super League individually. Payment to play as part of a Super League on-line costs £6 per team and includes access to 24 internet transfers. (For more information please read the Terms and Conditions).

  7. Prizes. Our champion (highest points scorer) will win £50,000. The second and third placed manager will win £5,000 and £2,000 respectively. Each week there is a Manager of the Week prize of £250. The five highest scoring managers in the Super League of the Week will each receive a commemorative medal.

  8. Scoring Points. Your team will score points based on all Premier League and FA Cup matches. Your players will score points in the following ways:

    ALL PLAYERS:
    Appearance (full match) +2points
    Appearance (part match) +1 point
    Goal Scored +5 points
Key Contribution to a goal +3 points
    Sent Off -5 points
    Booked -2 points

    DEFENDERS/GOALKEEPERS:
Clean Sheet (full match) +4 points
Clean Sheet (part match) +2 points
    Goal Conceded -1 point

  9. Transfers. You can make 24 changes to your team during the course of the season if things aren't going too well. These changes can be made by post, phone or via the internet (if you have paid the internet transfer fee) up to a maximum of four per week. When making transfers your team's total value must still not exceed 50 million at all times and must remain within the 1-4-3-3 formation.

  10. Manager's Pack. When you have submitted your team, filled in your personal details and paid your entry fee, you will be given a unique 7 digit PIN number, and 3 digit security code. These are very important as you will require them to make transfers. If you have an e-mail address you can choose to have your team details sent to you electronically in addition to receiving your manager's pack. The Manager's Pack outlines your team details and contains your PIN and security code details, plus eight postal transfer cards. Also included is a free and exclusive TFF magazine as well as an easy to use scorecard.

All you need to do now is register your team. The closing date for registrations to score for the first round of scoring matches is 1st post or 3pm GMT on Saturday, August 17, 2002. If you require any further information please refer to the Terms and Conditions.
