Kath Stevens died in 1999 just before she was due to become President of the Society. Kath had however already contributed to the society by starting the Monochrome Group from which developed the Digital Group. Kath was one of our members who gained her Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society. This was with a panel of 'tinted' photographs of Venice a small selection of which you will find here. To refer to these as 'tinted B&W photographs is to do them no justice, if you see an original Kath Stevens the effect is of a watercolour painting, full of atmosphere and light. We have also included some of her black and white photographs that the Society holds in its archives.
Kath's husband, John, who is also sadly no longer with us was a fellow photographer who supported Kath in her art. Unfortunately we do not have any examples of his work.
