The frustration over shortage of testers foundation in drugstore and not knowing the colour
match when doing phone orders had finally taken its toll. The foundation chart was first started
by Mary. The poll response was enormous, so, along with several helpers
(Loren, Suze, Laura, and I may be forgetting some but you know who you are ;), the girls
started categorizing the data. Alice then came along and started putting the data into a
chart format. |
| The first version of foundation chart was amazingly simple; it only has 6 columns named "column
1 ... column 6". Then Kristina came out with the idea of naming each column "PPP", "FFF", "LLL",
"MMM", "GGG", and "DDD" in order to jazz it up a little bit. To make it even more useful,
several new columns were added to indicate the type, finish, coverage, SPF rating and price.
|
| The addition of five new columns made the foundation chart much larger and difficult to view
without a lot of scrolling action. It is also difficult to maintain the chart because everything
was colour-coded, ie. inserting a new brand of foundation equals rearranging the whole chart.
|
| Hence, in 2004, the foundation chart is made into the foundation page (since it is no longer in
chart format =D). Feel free to browse around and let us know what you think. We hope you will
enjoy this new format as much as we do! |
