Hi, my name is
Kooky and I've been working very hard all last year trying to
get this graph completed for this year 2002!
A pretty
hard task, believe me, and no chinchilla should try it alone without
the help of their human mums, I have tried to be as accurate
as possible and there is a separate page explaining how
things were done!
so

Lets start with
showing the graph first!
It's practically
impossible to keep track of every single website and although this was
graphed throughout the year 2001, you have to keep in mind that there is
always new sites coming and old sites going.
I have
drawn the graph by 'percentage' because it's impossible to get an absolute accurate count
of web sites, this is the nearest in the count of sites that you can get
with this sort of thing.
I have chosen a percentage of around 700 sites as a 100% count
I was quite surprised with some
of the results
(Based on the search engines listed on the 'HOW I DID IT ' page)
Yeah...yeah...I know Lycos has around 50,000 websites on chinchillas
but there's more to it than counting you know!
700
is the highest you will get in 'individual' animal websites
worldwide surprised? - I was!
