She's known in Scotland and Ireland for singing unaccompanied and has a versatile voice which can be powerful or sweet. She's also a wonderful observer of human nature and has the gift of turning everyday occurances into hilarious situations. Her well worded introductions to songs often inspire new insights.
Apart from singing solo she's been performing with the famous Gordeanna McCulloch and with Aileen Carr and Maureen Jelks, both well known traditional solo singers as Palaver since 1992.
In both these combinations there is a huge and varied range of material performed with harmonies.
Recently Chris, Aileen and Maureen have got together with Tom Spiers, voice and fiddle, Arthur Watson, voice and whistles both of (The Gaugers) and Pete Shepheard, voice and melodeon, to form a "SUPER GROUP" of six calling themselves
