Alpha

At the moment we are between Alpha courses. Please contact the vicar revtrev@blueyonder.co.uk

for details of when the next one will start.

 What is Alpha?

  • The Alpha course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith.

  • It's relaxed, non-threatening, low key, friendly and fun.
  • There is a meal together at the beginning of each session which gives you an opportunity to get to know each other.
  • Listen, learn, discuss and discover. And ask anything. Alpha is a place where no question is too simple or too hostile.
  • And its supported by all the main Christian denominations.

What's involved?

The Alpha course consists of a series of talks looking at topics such as "Who is Jesus?" and "Why and how do I pray?" After each talk we divide into small groups for a time of discussion.

Who is Alpha for?

Alpha is for everyone, especially:

  • Those wanting to investigate Christianity

  • New Christians
  • Newcomers to the church
  • Those who want to brush up on the basics.

What will it cost?

There is no charge for the Alpha course.

Does Alpha have a website?

Yes. Christchurch Felling is not responsible for the content of the national Alpha site.

Youth Work

Christchurch Felling runs two different types of youth work.

On a Sunday morning, at the 10:30am service we run a Sunday School. This is open to any children and takes place in rooms adjacent to the church.

On a Wednesday and Friday evening, open youth groups take place in the church hall (on Sunderland Road). Wednesday is for 4yrs - year 2 then 5pm - 6.00 pm year 3 to year 6.  Friday is for years 7 and above. Contact the vicar revtrev@blueyonder.co.uk

for more details about these groups.
