About Me

I try to provide a loving and happy environment, which is very family orientated. My best friend regularly visits as well as 'Granny' and 'Nana' on their days off. All of whom accept and respect the children I mind.

Friends tell me I'm a big kid myself and therefore love to play and learn most of the day. I go to both drop-in-centres and playgroups on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and every other Friday mornings to allow the children to mix with other children and to further their skills and knowledge.

I have two children of my own, a daughter of five and in year R at Ludlow Infants School and a three year old boy who attends Woolston Community Pre-School. My husband and I do not smoke and do not allow anybody to smoke inside the house.

We have two pets. Saffy is our cat, she is 8 years old and tends to keep herself to herself and keep out of the children's way. She has had all of her injections which are regularly boosted and is regularly wormed and de-fleaed. Roger is our hampster and is kept in a cage in the Lounge/Diner. She is cleaned out at least once a week.

I hold a full clean driving licence and have business insurance for our 7 seater car.

I live in a mid-terraced house which looks small from the outside but is deceivingly long and spacious inside. The children have the run of downstairs which includes the bathroom and 27' Lounge/Diner. Upstairs is also registered but they can only go up there to sleep or if invited by one my children. There are stair gates at both the top and the bottom of the stairs. The kitchen is out of bounds and I have the facilities to fix a stair gate, but at the moment the children I mind are all old enough to understand the dangers of the kitchen.

The back garden is divided into a third patio and two thirds grass. There is a double swing and see-saw, three different size slides, a play house packed full of trikes, bikes, scooters, cars etc and a sandpit.

We do have a garage at the end of the garden but this is always locked and therefore out of reach of the children. There are toys aplenty for the children to choose from in my home, and we regularly visit toy libraries where the children can choose more toys. We all love books and videos in this house and there are many to choose from. (Videos are only normally watched if it rains and are usually limited to one a day).
