| 14/10 | NEWS | 20307 and 20310 were the DRS 20's used on the Pathfinder they actually ran from Motherwell to Carlisle via the GS&W. Apparently the last 4 EWS owned 20's have been finally sold. Details to follow. |
| 03/08 | NEWS | 20301 and 20304 were the DRS 20's at this years KWVR Diesel Gala. Pathfinder has 2 tours using 20's, 01/09/01 Braidhurst Jnc-Carlisle and 24/11/01 Warrington-East Midlands. |
| 15/7 | NEWS | Not much to report since last September. 20169 has made it into preservation (details to follow). DRS 20's to my knowledge have only worked one tour (14/7/01 Carlisle-Keighley and return). There is a possiblility that there might be a few more tours this year! The KWVR should see a couple this August. Other than this, the ones for sale are still for sale and there are still 79 in existence!! |
| 19/9 | NEWS | All of the remaining EWS Class 20's have now been put up for sale. Some of these have been withdrawn for nearly 10 years!! However the ones offered for sale seem to be in a good condition considering!! This will not conclude the 20 story as there are still quite a few owned by DRS that have yet to turn a wheel. The current state of play sees 79 Class 20's still in existence. |
| 19/9 | NEWS | Many of the advertised DRS tours with Class 20's either were cancelled or ran with different power. One such train was Pathfinders tour to Old Oak Common Open Day, instead of getting 3*20, it had 20307 and 37609 instead. DRS are currently holding fire on supplying there loco's for tours. |
