Revision. Examination and compare colonies eg for stores, brood pattern, disease. Find the queen. Action to take on finding Queen cells – if none, introduce marked new frame, prepare nucleus hive. Make up brood frames.

TIMES: 11.00 am weekends (normally Sunday)s; 7.00 pm week days

Wet Days: Please attend regardless of the weather: Exercises above are dependent on bee-friendly weather; otherwise they will be replaced by 'indoor' activities e.g. making up frames, identification and uses; life of bee; preparation for Basic Bee keeping qualification; making up frames; equipment work.

NB Please note that if colonies in hives have been moved to the other side of the vans they are NOT to be used in training sessions.
