OH! WHAT A CALAMITY

Stuart Hill, 58, set off today on another bid to sail single-handed around Britain.

Stuart earned the nickname of Captain Calamity after his first attempt at the 2,000-mile journey was scuppered by a string of accidents.

Amidst a press furore, 'Captain Calamity' left Southwold harbour at 1.00p.m but found himself bumping into two boats on the way.

A Yarmouth Coastguard spokesperson said "there was no damage to any vessels and Mr. Hill's vessel 'Maximum Exposure' is making good progress up the Norfolk coast, where at 5.00p.m he was off the Holm Channel".

Mr. Hill will be contacting Coastguard every morning at 10.00am throughout his journey.
