COASTGUARDS SEARCH FOR MISSING PERSON -THURSO

Aberdeen Coastguard paged Scrabster CRT and requested the launch of the Thurso lifeboat to search for a man who is believed to have left the Ferry Inn at Scrabster, Caithness, in the early hours of Monday 13th August 2001.

The man left behind his luggage that included a quantity of medicartion.

The man was approx 47 years of age, 5' 8", very heavy build, thick red hair, and beard.

Search carried out on Holborn head

Coastguard personnel and Thurso Lifeboat carried out a search of the Holburn Head area on the western side of Thurso Bay.

The man was subsequently located at Raigmore hospital, Inverness.
