COLLISION IN ENGLISH CHANNEL

Dover Coastguard received an emergency call from the British cargo vessel the ‘Vanguard’ to say it had collided with French fishing boat the ‘Pago’ 35 miles north east of Dover.

First reports are that no one has been injured and neither boat has been badly damaged.


Dover Coastguard - still investigating
A Dover Coastguard spokesman said: "It appears at this stage that both vessels are a bit scratched but that neither is taking on water. We have not sent our lifeboats to the scene but are still investigating."
