DIVER SUFFERS FROM NITROGEN POISONING

Coastguards were called out at 1030 on Saturday 7 April 2001 after a diver got into difficulties when his breathing apparatus failed causing nitrogen poisoning.

Scott Waterman was diving with a party of 11 off the Anglesey coast at Puffin Island.

Mr. Waterman was airlifted by RAF Valley to Murreyfield Hospital in the Wirral where his condition was described as satisfactory.
